What is the course about?
The ability to motivate a team is what can set a coach above all others. Ask yourself the following questions:
- How do you promote team ethic?
- How can you motivate players to train in poor weather?
- Do your teams work for each other above themselves?
- How do you challenge star players to want to be even better?
By the end of this course you will have addressed all of these. The course uses recent psychological research presented in a way that can help coaches improve their motivational skills.
Who should attend?
Anybody with an interest in improving sport performance; this could be coaches, performers, sport students, sports club officials or others interested in motivating teams.
How will it help?
While the course is based on recent research, tasks and discussions ensure that you will leave with practical development points to aid your coaching. It is intended that you will be able to address the above questions in your own coaching.
The workshop will be delivered by professional staff from Leeds Trinity College/University.
